The Little Red Riding Hood Century Ride

I'm so excited! On June 7th I am finally going to do what I set out to do before I was pregnant with Cassi - I'm doing a century. I was training for one before we found out about Cassi and then I got to sick to actually ride. Chris ended up doing it without me. This one is awesome because it's Girls only. Cassi and I are training for it right now. She sits in the trailer we bought for her that pulls behind my bike and 4 times a week, we go for a 25 miller. They say you're supposed to get in 100 miles a week to prepare for it. I'm so excited!!! I'm already registered and everything so it's really going to happen this year!!!! I'm doing this one solo and then Chris and I are riding in the Utah Lake Century together in August. FUN TIMES!!!!

Thought We Were Dead???

O.K., I know, I basically let this die for 5 months, but I'm back now :)
We've been crazy for the last while. We finally found a house (yeah!!!!) but it needed a lot of work to get it to be where we wanted it (bummer). It was perfect - huge backyard, great neighborhood, three bedrooms, 1 bathroom that we wanted to keep (explanation later) - all that it needed was some tlc. We closed on the house at the end of February and started renovations in the beginning of March. This is what it was before...

Nice huh. Did you like how the toilet in the master bedroom was right next to their bed? Yeah, that whole thing was the first to go. we spent the first 3 hours we were in the house tearing out that bathroom and making our bedroom nice and big. I don't know whose bright idea it was to have a bathroom in a master bedroom, reducing it to the size of a closet, but it wasn't their best moment. Removing it was our best, let me tell you. Anyway, this is what it is now....

Like it??? Cassi's room was my favorite thing to do ever. The best part is we did everything from tearing out the linolium and putting down the tile to putting in a brand new wall in our bedroom where the bathroom used to be to putting in the new counter top. Can you tell I'm proud of it? We couldn't have done it without all our friends and family though. Thank you Dad and Mom Ramsay and the Mayer family!!!!

So now that we have a house and a backyard, I couldn't tell Chris no any longer and he finally got his puppy! It's a chocolate yellow lab mix, but it looks black with brown highlights. Cassi loves Dakota!!!!

Well, that's all I can do before Cassi kills me for ignoring her. Miss and love you all!!!
